Kórdrengir was an Icelandic football club based in Reykjavík, Iceland. After gaining three promotions from 2018 to 2020, the team folded after the 2022 season.

History

The club was founded in 2017. It first participated in the Icelandic tier-5 league, 4. deild karla, in 2017. In 2018 they achieved promotion to 3. deild karla, in 2019 to 2. deild karla and in 2020 to 1. deild karla.

Kordrengir (z języka islandzkiego „syn króla”) is a football club from Iceland, based in the town of Reykjavík. The club was founded in 1920 and plays in the Úrvalsdeild karla, the top tier of Icelandic football.

Kordrengir have won the Úrvalsdeild karla 12 times, the most recent title coming in 2019. They have also won the Icelandic Cup 7 times, most recently in 2018.

The club's home ground is the Laugardalsvöllur stadium, which has a capacity of 9,800.

Kordrengir are a regular participant in European competitions, having competed in the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League and UEFA Europa Conference League.

The club's most famous player is Eiður Guðjohnsen, who played for the club from 1994 to 1996. Guðjohnsen went on to have a successful career with clubs such as Chelsea, Barcelona and Real Madrid.

Current players include Rúnar Már Sigurðsson, Aron Gunnarsson and Birkir Sævarsson.
