Wikipedia - Botaş SK

Botaş SK is a sports club based in Ankara. The major branch of the club is the women's basketball, currently performing at the Turkish Women's Basketball Super League. The club also competes in athletics.

Botaş is the first Turkish club to play a final game in European women's basketball. The club was the runner up at the Ronchetti Cup in 2001 and won the Turkish Super League and Cup titles twice. Venue of the basketball team is DSİ Etlik Sports Hall.

Botaş SK is founded in 1984 and sponsored by Botaş Petroleum Pipeline Corporation since then. The club moved from Adana to Ankara in 2017.

Adana Botas Kadın Basketbol Takımı, Türkiye'nin Adana kentinde yerleşik bir profesyonel kadın basketbol takımıdır. Süper Lig ve Kadınlar Basketbol Süper Kupası'nda mücadele etmektedirler.

Takım, 1988 yılında Adana Botas kulübü bünyesinde kurulmuştur. İlk yıllarında bölgesel liglerde mücadele eden takım, 2004-05 sezonunda Süper Lig'e yükselmiştir.

Adana Botas, Süper Lig'de ilk şampiyonluğunu 2005-06 sezonunda kazanmıştır. Takım, bu başarıyı 2007-08 ve 2010-11 sezonlarında tekrarlamıştır.

Kadınlar Basketbol Süper Kupası'nda ise Adana Botas, 2006, 2008 ve 2011 yıllarında şampiyonluğa ulaşmıştır.

Takımın kadrosunda şu anda Breanna Stewart, Brittney Griner ve Sylvia Fowles gibi dünya çapında ünlü oyuncular yer almaktadır. Baş antrenörleri ise eski Türkiye milli takım oyuncusu Ceyhun Yıldırım'dır.

Adana Botas Kadın Basketbol Takımı, Türkiye'nin en başarılı kadın basketbol takımlarından biridir. Ulusal ve uluslararası arenada elde ettikleri başarılarla Türk basketboluna önemli katkılar sağlamışlardır.
